So I’m not much for a holy grail list when it comes to makeup products but if I started to make one this would be in the top 3! First of all being a brown-skinned beauty it isn’t so easy to come by {affordable} cruelty-free + paraben-free products that actually match or blend with my skin tone. The search can {has been} frustrating + costly. But on to the fairy-tale ending of this story…

I found my night in shining finishing face powder! That means I can wear cream/liquid foundation, which also means I am one happy woman.

For starters the powder is $30 {fairly inexpensive by my standards especially since it actually works} + I ordered mine from Ulta just because I had a few other things on my list + wanted to make one online stop do.

It comes in a pretty purple floral pouch.

The finishing powder itself is lightweight, fragrance-free + a work of color perfection! Underneath the powder is an Urban Decay logo sponge {that I don’t use but it’s cute to look at}. Only in extreme emergencies will I use a sponge otherwise I have my mini brushes when I’m out if a touch-up is necessary. The color looks a little red but that’s just the lighting. My skin is beyond yellow undertones so anything with red just makes me look like I got sunburned.

A quick selfie I snapped with my phone. So you can’t tell I’m wearing anything which is the whole idea but my skin looks smooth, even + luminous which is also the point!

As far as my recommendation for this product I give it a thumbs-up. However I don’t know if the color payoff will be the same on deeper or olive skin tones. Usually I have to search everywhere with little success for a shade that matches my skin tone so for once I’m winning!
