So statement lips + bright eyes are just getting started for Fall + to be honest they were never really quite over from Summer. For those of you who follow my blog + other social media sites regularly you know I am not a fan of shimmery makeup. But I will try anything once + really give it a shot when I start to get it right. This is my first experience with Touch In Sol + it was almost {almost} my last. I didn’t realize that the eye set said shimmering on it {duh the name of the brand is Touch In Sol after all} so upon first application of the colors I was way off {way way off}. But that’s where makeup removing wipes, killer brushes + a little patience step in. And I came out loving both looks.

From right: Ideal Visual Multi Colors Eye Shadow #1 Orangeholic; One Step Closer Lip Crayon Bar #2 Florida Orange {you know I just had to right?} + Dynamic Spectrum Multi Shining Colors Blusher #5 Reddish Brown
After realizing what I was working with I had fun playing with eye shadow quad. A little shimmer goes a long way but if you put it on in the right places you can get a stunning smokey eye. And I didn’t even mind rocking it for a daytime look. For the rest of my face I pretty much kept it neutral with barely bronzed cheeks + nude lip.

This little guide is attached to the palette + easy enough to follow but you know I had to just do my own thing!

All four shades have a shimmer.

My eye so up close + personal!

It’s difficult to see the color payoff but I used the yellow shade on the inner part of my lids, the orange shade in the middle + the darker olive colored shade for the outer part of my lids + lightly {very lightly} in the crease.
Tip: Before applying any of the shadows I used a chocolate colored eye liner on my upper + lower lids to soften the blow of the shimmer + intensify the look without having to go overkill on the eye shadow.

Obviously at this point I lost all communication with the sun. It was one bipolar stormy day down here, not uncommon for South Florida but certainly a pain when you’re trying to snap pics or film.

The Blush.

I love the little cover they put over it.

The top two shades are more for highlighting/illuminating the cheekbone area. I omitted it for my second look but it can also be used to dress the décolletage which I love to do when I’m wearing a sundress or strappy top. The two bottom shades lend perfect peachy + pink shades. I layered them for a blushed + flushed look.

This lip crayon bar is completely buildable + long-wearing. I had this on for a few hours but it wore down to a nice coral stain on my lips even after I had eaten dinner + lasted pretty well until I washed it off a few hours later.

Yes just so you know I have zero drawing skills…

My second look. I layered both {bottom} blush shades + actually used the lighter orange blush shade to add a little shimmer to my lids + just under my lower lids on the inner parts. I only swiped the lip color a couple of times on my lips making sure to line my lips as I would using a regular lip liner. I skipped the eye liner + used a volumizing mascara in a deep brown shade.
